Aches and Pains - Active People Get Them

2008-05-20 08:41My new blog is hereby launched. I'm using it to practice my writing. I'll try to be brief.
Being in my fifties and pretty active, I guess I've gotten to be a little fixated on getting the most out of my body that I possibly can. I play a few team sports with mostly younger people and I want to contribute to having good competitive matches, if not actually winning.
On the basis of the brain running the body, I am improving my skills with practicing and implimenting proven techniques. I am also hard at work getting my brain to minimize the effects of my various aches and pains.
All that has lead me, in the last year or so, to figuring out that, well, the brain and body are not really where it's all at. But that's another blog altogether.
So this blog is about what I've got going to keep myself competitive at basketball, volleyball, and ultimate frisbe on a regular basis. Also workouts at the gym, and occaisional racquetball, tennis and running. I've tried a lot of things and stuck with those that help. That's what I'll share.
All I have left to do then is work my job, be a good father, squeeze in an athletic girlfriend and work on getting back to heaven.
